Direction Montpellier, a 4-day weekend, to take a look at the International Festival of Extreme Sports!
The International Festival of Extreme Sports (FISE) was created in 1997 by Hervé André-Benoit, a student at Sup de Co but passionate about board sports above all.
From the first edition, he made a remarkable entry into the world of alternative sports with nearly 100 riders and 35,000 spectators present for 3 days devoted to the ramp, dirt and funboard.
In 2012 it is more than 300,000 spectators who have come to gather on the banks of the Lez to admire amateurs or professionals doing their shows.
FISE now brings together 5 major disciplines:
- Mountain biking
It is the undisputed meeting place for all Montpellier residents and even elsewhere!
Each year, records are broken or new figures appear during FISE.
For this 2012 edition, we had the right to a "180 triple bus on the spine" from Jack clark who was the first to place this figure in the world. A very technical figure!
Another undeniable FISE this year and, despite the showers, the FISE still has a bright future ahead of it ...
For those who want to discover this festival, go straight to Port Grimaud for the 100% wakeboard summer version which ends tonight.
See you next year!
